Meadham Kirchhoff S/S 2012-Anti Beauty

Design duo Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff created  a totally crazy collection.Protesting the way how women try to look  pretty, sexy and sweet, they showed their real creativity through  prints, colors, fabrics and cuts. The models stomped down the catwalk in funky, glittery platforms. Prints were almost all about cartoon fictional characters.Designers employed a wide range of accessories like; necklaces, bracelets, gloves, purses, knee stockings and high-heeled sandals.I had an impression, that the collection was inspired by the young blogger Tavi’s style ( http://www.thestylerookie.com/). This girl is very talented and she has a unique style, which i think is becoming new trend for S/S 2012.

Datuna Sulikashvili’s fashion show was the last and the most spectacular show in the whole fashion week. Decoration was gorgeous, with autumn leafs on the stage and lanterns. The dominant colors were black and white. The collection was enriched with accessories and golden bright details. Designer showed tight pants and blazers, orange dress with silver vest and  long white, beautiful dress. The show was like a little dream.

George Shaghashvili S/S 2012

George Shaghashvili is a Georgian designer who works in Denmark. For Tbilisi Fashion Week, spring/summer 2012 , he presented the total collection in black. Strange pattern and asymmetry are the main features of his collection. For this time designer used wide pants, long bosom shorts, long black coats and dresses. The clothes had a  transformative  function.
The slogan of the show was “Don’t shoot she is barefoot” and designer presented strong women.
Impression was, that the collection was for fall/winter. Anyway, I think the show complited was interesting.

Tamuna Ingorokva S/S-2012 (Day I)

Tbilisi fashion week took place on 24’th of November, at Tbilisi Event Hall. In spite of the bad weather lot of people came to assist the official opening of  the fifth season of Tbilisi fashion week.Tamuna Ingorokva was the first designer who opened the show with her collection. It seems Georgian designers have not rejected the color- black for this season too. At the beginning Tamuna Ingorokva used black, silk dresses and honestlly I was a little disappointed, but then she colored the collection with white, dark blue, khaki and silver. Dresses were decorated with little flowers, feathers and colored belts. Pants were wide and flowing like the whole collection . Designer has performed also orange coats, which made the collection more cheerful.
